The Washington Post in a report published on the 25th July says that drone operations over Somalia pose danger to air traffic citing a U.N Monitoring group report. The report said that the unmanned aircraft violate a long-standing arms embargo against the war-torn country. A former Somali military general however cautions that the UAV attacks pose a far greater risk.

Training Syrian Kurdish soldiers in the Kurdistan Region violates Iraq’s constitution and interferes in Syria’s affairs, said Iraqi MP Hussein al-Assadi. He is now demanding a probe after the Kurdistan Region’s President Massoud Barzani said Syrian Kurdish soldiers who defected from the Syrian army have received military training in the region. President Barzani said the training will help the soldiers protect their Kurdish areas in Syria.

Various Western media outlets have affirmed that foreign fighters have joined the armed groups in Syria. The CNN said on its internet website that foreign fighters among them Turks and Libyans have entered Syria through unofficial crossings from Turkey and currently fighting with armed men. Experts say this admission was made because western media cannot further deny the truth anymore.
